Print Labels and Send Text Messages
If your Wash-Dry-Fold POS system has our Order Tracker software installed, here’s how you can send automatic SMS text messages when your customer’s laundry is done & ready for pickup! Order Tracker can also print labels for unwashed bags of laundry as well as finished orders.
Text messaging notifications is a strictly opt-in feature for your customers. If a customer agrees to be messaged when their laundry is ready, click on the “Extended Info” tab in their profile and enter their cell phone number in the “Mobile Phone” input box and click “Save” or “Update”:
Create an invoice like normal, and then click on the Order Tracker program found in your taskbar or on your computer’s desktop:
Scan the invoice’s barcode with your barcode scanner, or type in the invoice number or customer name into the search box. Click on the invoice you want in the search results below:
If you’re only interested in printing labels (or are printing labels for an unwashed order), click on “Print Labels” and follow the on-screen prompts. Alternatively, if you change the order’s production status to “Completed” then you will be automatically prompted to print labels for the finished order.
You can override the number of labels to print by adjusting the “# of labels to print” input. This is useful if you accidentally tore a label and just need to reprint one:
Make sure your label printer is selected on the print dialog and then print. Once done, click on the “X” close button for the Print Preview window:
If the customer is opted into text message notifications (see Step 1), you will be prompted to send the customer a text message automatically once you close the Print Preview window in the prior step:
When the customer finally returns to pick up their laundry order, recall the order as shown in Step 3 and then click on the “Mark job as fulfilled” button to indicate that order has been successfully returned to the customer:
If the order has not been paid for yet, the Order Tracker program will remind you to collect payment. Recall the order in the Cash Register Express software using “Fetch On Hold” or scan the barcode on the receipt and collect payment like usual:
Most laundromats will use one of the labels to attach the receipt to one of the bags of the finished order, and then all the rest of the bags just get a sticker label.
