Machine Start Integrations Partnerships: Speed Queen, Huebsch, Laundroworks, FasCard, Flex Card, The Laundry Boss and More
Attendants start washers and dryers from the order they are working on, and every start is logged to that order as vend value.
Broken Arrow, Okla. — January 7, 2026 — Wash-Dry-Fold POS® has released machine start integrations that let an attendant start a washer or dryer from inside the order they are working on, and that log every start against that order.
To run a wash-dry-fold or pickup-and-delivery service, attendants need a fast way to start and manage machines. Filling buckets with coins, painting quarters, feeding machines one by one and then collecting the coins again is gone from most busy stores. Cashless systems replaced that work, but they introduced a different question: how does an owner know attendants are only starting machines for paid orders?
Why machine starts became the gap
“When I hear another story about how a manager or trusted attendant ‘stole’ $20,000 or $30,000, it’s almost always the same story. The employee realizes they have virtually unlimited access to machine starts, and they decide to start their own business on the side. Whether it’s doing laundry for everyone in their apartment complex or starting machines for self-serve customers in exchange for a quick $20, they’ve found some way to abuse and monetize the machine start capability. We hear about it all the time.”
Ian Gollahon — Co-Founder, Wash-Dry-Fold POS®
That is the gap the integrations close, and it sits alongside the rest of the theft prevention tooling in the system.
Alliance equipment: Speed Queen Insights and Huebsch Command
For Alliance Laundry Systems equipment, including Speed Queen Insights and Huebsch Command, attendants start a cycle by tapping the machine they want inside the Order Tracker. The start command goes to the machine, and the manual steps in between disappear.
Laundroworks and WashLynx from a phone
The Laundroworks and WashLynx integrations let an attendant start machines from their own device. On an iPhone or an Android phone that adds the handset’s own face verification as another layer, because the start is tied to a person and not just to a terminal someone walked away from. FasCard and ESD systems connect on the same principle.
Vend value logged to the order
In every one of these scenarios the system records the machine start, and its vend value, against the order it was started for, then reports that total as a percentage of revenue. That percentage is the number an owner watches: it says what share of the money coming in is being spent on machine starts, and a store where it drifts is a store worth looking at. The detail lands in the same reporting as the rest of the shift.
