A broken washer stops being a sticky note.

Repair tracking turns every machine problem into a ticket with a machine number, a status, a history and an email to whoever needs to know about it.

Attendants submit tickets from the register by picking the machine off your own washer and dryer layout. Everything open sits on one dashboard you can filter by store, by machine or by status.

Without repair tickets

The log book only works if everyone writes in it.

A washer goes down at 7pm. The attendant tells the next attendant, who means to tell you. Four days later a customer mentions it, and by then the machine has been sitting there earning nothing all week.

The repair itself is usually the easy part. Getting the problem from the floor to the person who can fix it is where the money leaks.

What breakdowns look like with a log book on the wall:

  • 01A machine down for days because nobody passed it along
  • 02Repairs written on notes that fall off the lid
  • 03Two attendants reporting the same fault and a third reporting none
  • 04No history when the same washer breaks the same way again
  • 05Hearing about an out-of-service dryer from a customer first

How it works

From the floor to the dashboard in one submission.

Reporting a problem is a few taps at the register and produces a record that outlives the shift it happened on.

Step 01

Pick the machine

The attendant taps the washer or dryer number on the store’s own machine layout, so the ticket is attached to a specific machine rather than to a description of one.

Step 02

Describe the symptoms

They write what they saw, heard or smelled and anything they already tried, in a free text box that travels with the ticket.

Step 03

The right people get emailed

Choose who receives an email when a ticket is submitted, and the machine and the description arrive with it.

Step 04

Work the dashboard

Every ticket sits on a status board that filters and sorts by store, machine or status, and moves from submitted to in progress to repaired.

The Wash-Dry-Fold POS Repair Tickets dashboard, listing tickets by store and machine with submitted, in progress and repaired status labels and filters above them.

What changes

What the store gets out of it.

Downtime is expensive in a way that never shows up as a line item. Shortening it starts with knowing about it.

On the floor

Problems get reported the same way every time

One screen, one machine layout, one description box. Nothing depends on which attendant found it or who they told.

In the office

You find out when it happens

Submission emails go to the addresses you choose, with the machine and the symptoms already in them.

Over time

Every machine keeps a history

Closed tickets stay on the machine’s record instead of disappearing with the note that reported them.

A machine that has been repaired four times for the same fault is telling you something about whether to keep repairing it. That is only readable if the first three repairs were written down somewhere you can still find them.

In owners’ words

Owners keeping their floors running on this.

Reviews left by Wash-Dry-Fold POS customers on their own stores and their own volume.

This system has made ownership much easier! I can get reports for each attendant and much easier to get reports I need to make real time decisions! Keeps better track of inventory than paper and pencil.

My wife and I put this system in our laundromat about 3 months ago. We are still finding new ways to help improve our effectiveness with our customers. We are so pleased with the system and all the new updates that have helped greatly to better serve our customers!

“Free Time” who wants some? This system has made more time for me. No more hand written laundry tickets with poor illegible writing that get lost.

I can pull up billing from my home computer or at the laundry. I can see exactly what was sold or what needs to be ordered. I can pull time sheets from the computer. I don’t have to go to the laundries to collect time cards or add them up any more. I can change prices or add new item tabs all with a click of a button.

I can see who is on the clock at each location and see just how busy they are with the order tracker. I can see which employee is completing the most laundry orders. This system is really the jack of all trades.

WDF POS was created by a laundromat owner with multiple stores that also have a robust drop off business. With such a depth of understanding of the business, it is no wonder WDF POS fits our high volume needs perfectly.

The cloud-based system was easy for our employees to learn and our customers appreciate the smoothness and professionalism of transactions. Training and customer service are the best around. New features are continually being added, and they are very responsive to feedback. I highly recommend it!

Repair tracking is in the system already. There is no maintenance add-on to buy and no second login for the person who fixes things.

Tickets, notifications and machine history cover every store on the account, with no cap on how many you open.

Questions

What owners ask about repair tracking.

  • What is a laundromat machine repair ticket?

A laundromat machine repair ticket is a record of one problem on one machine, holding the machine number, what the attendant observed, who was notified and the current repair status. In Wash-Dry-Fold POS those tickets live on a dashboard that filters by store, machine or status, so an open problem stays visible until somebody closes it.

  • Who gets notified when a ticket is submitted?

You choose. Any employee whose profile has Receive Repair Ticket Emails turned on gets an email as soon as a ticket is submitted, with the machine and the attendant’s description included, so the person who fixes things does not have to be told twice.

  • Can attendants submit tickets themselves?

Yes. The attendant picks the machine from the store’s own washer and dryer layout, describes the symptoms and submits. No phone call, no note taped to the lid.

  • Can I see repair tickets for more than one store?

Yes. The dashboard filters and sorts by store, by machine or by status, so one login covers every location you run.

  • Does the system keep a history after a repair is closed?

Yes. Closed tickets stay on the machine’s record, so a washer that has failed the same way three times shows a pattern instead of looking like a first-time problem.

  • Can I check repairs without being at the store?

Yes. Repair tracking is cloud-based, so the dashboard opens in any browser, including a phone.

  • What statuses does a ticket move through?

Submitted, in progress, repaired and could not replicate. The dashboard filters to any of them, which is how an owner finds what is still outstanding without reading every ticket.
