Rewards that fire at the counter without anyone remembering to ask.

Points on every order paid with real money, a rewards window that opens on its own at checkout, plus coupons, standing discounts and gift cards in the same register.

A loyalty program that depends on an attendant mentioning it is a loyalty program that runs on your busiest days and stops on the rest. This one is part of the checkout itself.

Without an automatic program

A punch card only works when somebody remembers it.

Loyalty cards end up in a drawer behind the counter. The regular who comes in every Tuesday gets nothing for it, and the discount that does get given depends on which attendant is standing there.

None of that is a marketing problem. It is a workflow problem, and it gets solved at the register or not at all.

What rewards look like when a person has to remember them:

  • 01Loyalty cards living in a drawer behind the counter
  • 02Regulars who never get recognized for being regulars
  • 03Discounts applied differently depending on who is working
  • 04Coupons honored on the wrong items
  • 05Gift cards tracked in a notebook and never reconciled

How it works

Set the rules once, then let the register run them.

Points accrue on real-money laundry orders, and the reward shows up when the customer has earned it.

Step 01

Choose how points are earned

Award points per order or based on dollars spent, on every laundry order paid for with real money.

Step 02

Set the rewards

Define what a customer can claim and how many points it costs, at whatever thresholds make sense for your store.

Step 03

The prompt fires itself

When a customer with enough points checks out, the rewards window opens on its own and the attendant claims the reward or skips it.

Step 04

It prints on the receipt

Points earned, points spent and the updated balance appear on the receipt, so the customer can see the program working.

The Claim a Reward window in Wash-Dry-Fold POS at checkout, showing the customer's available points, the rewards they can claim and a Skip Reward button.
The rewards window opens by itself when the points are there. The attendant claims it or skips it.
A Wash-Dry-Fold POS ticket with a comforter line item and a veteran discount applied underneath it as its own line, alongside referral and birthday coupon tags.
Coupons and standing discounts sit on the ticket as their own line items, so what was given and why is on the record.

What changes

What the store gets out of it.

The program stops being something the counter has to remember and becomes something the counter cannot miss.

At checkout

The program runs whether or not it gets mentioned

The rewards window opens automatically when the balance qualifies, on every register and every shift.

On the ticket

Every discount is a line item

Coupons and standing discounts print as their own lines, so what came off the ticket and why is recorded rather than remembered.

New customers

They start earning on day one

New drop-off customers can be given a starting balance automatically, so the program has something to show them the first time in.

Coupons can be restricted to a department or to specific items, which is how a bedding promotion stays a bedding promotion instead of coming off somebody’s entire ticket.

In owners’ words

Owners keeping their regulars on this.

Reviews left by Wash-Dry-Fold POS customers on their own stores and their own volume.

This system has made ownership much easier! I can get reports for each attendant and much easier to get reports I need to make real time decisions! Keeps better track of inventory than paper and pencil.

My wife and I put this system in our laundromat about 3 months ago. We are still finding new ways to help improve our effectiveness with our customers. We are so pleased with the system and all the new updates that have helped greatly to better serve our customers!

Glen HawkinsNorthgate Laundromat

“Free Time” who wants some? This system has made more time for me. No more hand written laundry tickets with poor illegible writing that get lost.

I can pull up billing from my home computer or at the laundry. I can see exactly what was sold or what needs to be ordered. I can pull time sheets from the computer. I don’t have to go to the laundries to collect time cards or add them up any more. I can change prices or add new item tabs all with a click of a button.

I can see who is on the clock at each location and see just how busy they are with the order tracker. I can see which employee is completing the most laundry orders. This system is really the jack of all trades.

WDF POS was created by a laundromat owner with multiple stores that also have a robust drop off business. With such a depth of understanding of the business, it is no wonder WDF POS fits our high volume needs perfectly.

The cloud-based system was easy for our employees to learn and our customers appreciate the smoothness and professionalism of transactions. Training and customer service are the best around. New features are continually being added, and they are very responsive to feedback. I highly recommend it!

Included

Part of the POS subscription.

Loyalty, coupons, standing discounts and gift cards are all in the register. They are configured once and then they run on their own.

Gift cards are loaded, sold, taken as payment and reported on inside the same system as everything else, so nothing lives in a separate ledger.

Questions

What owners ask about loyalty and rewards.

  • What is a laundromat loyalty program?

A laundromat loyalty program awards points on the orders a customer actually pays for and lets them trade those points for rewards at the counter. In Wash-Dry-Fold POS points are earned per order or based on dollars spent, and the rewards window opens by itself at checkout once the balance qualifies, so the program does not depend on an attendant remembering it.

  • Do attendants have to remember to apply rewards?

No. The rewards window opens automatically at checkout when the customer’s balance qualifies, and the attendant either claims the reward or skips it.

  • How do customers earn points?

On every laundry order paid for with real money, either a set number of points per order or points based on dollars spent. You choose which model the store runs.

  • Can new customers start with points?

Yes. New drop-off customers can be given a starting balance automatically, so there is something on the account the first time they come in.

  • Can I limit a coupon to certain items?

Yes. A coupon can be restricted to a department or to specific items, so a bedding promotion applies to bedding rather than to the whole ticket.

  • Can I run a standing discount for veterans or teachers?

Yes. Standing discounts are set up once and applied as their own line item on the ticket, so what was given and to whom stays on the record.

  • Does it handle gift cards?

Yes. Gift cards are loaded, sold, accepted as payment and tracked in reporting, in the same system as the rest of the register.
